Mae Speak

This is just for us to remember this sweet little phase someday... our Mae is quite a talker. Especially since she has big sister to copy, she talks pretty well & she talks A LOT. She can hold whole conversations with you in her tiny little voice & sings whole songs all the time... our favorites - This Little Light of Mine, Jesus Loves Me, Uno Dos Tres Amigos, other songs from Spanish time at preschool, Glory Hallelujah, praise songs from the RHCC CD's, & the entire RHCC Jonah musical. The "Celebration" song is our favorite because the only word you understand is "celebration" & the rest sounds like Chinese. She does have some silly mispronunciations that are classic Mae - Mae words:

holy pollies: rollie pollie bugs - a huge favorite at our house

ah-cause: because & gurl: girl - "I'm a big gurl ahcause now I'm three"

grandma: surprise - "when daddy gets home we'll jump up & yell grandma!" - no idea why this one started

furse: purse - she was very excited to start carrying a "church furse" with her own Bible & Bible bucks this weekend

flushie: slushie - Tom has the girls completed addicted to apple juice slushes from Sonic - her version of the word sounds like bathroom humor, but she adds an "f" to the beginning of many words

lasterday: yesterday - "yes, you member (remember) mom, it was lasterday"

I love this little stinker!
