Our second annual Memorial Day block party... we love our street! This year we blocked off the street, rented a bounce house, ordered bar-b-que, and hung out together all day. The girls did a lot of bike/scooter riding, bouncing, dessert eating, & hanging out with friends. We are blessed with such great neighbors!
Since we were leaving early for church, Tom let the girls have their own little water balloon fight. That probably worked out for the best because I'm sure the big one with all the big boys on the street got pretty wild! After the kids went to bed, all the daddies got out the balloon launcher to see how far they could hurl them... thankfully no windows got busted.
We have a firefighter on our street who booked a visit from a nearby department. The kids LOVED it - Mae especially liked sitting in the truck & aiming the hose. When a neighbor joked "who wants to be the first up the ladder?", Mae raised her hand and said, "ME!" I really think she would have.

Wow- looks like QUITE the party! We are having a block party this weekend, but I'm not sure if it will be that fancy :) Love the fire truck!
