We missed being with family this Easter, but decided since Anna had school (snow make up day) that we wouldn't attempt a road trip with our littlest traveler. We managed to pack in lots of Easter fun though... on Saturday we helped with the Denton church plant's "egg drop". Tom was on crowd control duty for their jump house, sweet Judah had to nap in the back of the van, but the girls had fun at the petting zoo, playground, & craft table. They also had the Easter bunny drop eggs from a helicopter - a fun twist on an egg hunt. Later that day our street had their annual egg hunt & grill out. The kids totally racked up on eggs, hunting from yard to yard all the way down the street. It was great to hang out all day with neighbors catching up. On Easter we enjoyed church service, hunted the eggs that we had dyed the day before, and made brunch with resurrection rolls. Such a great family weekend celebrating our risen Saviour!
Poor third child having to sleep in the back of the van... we use the sound machine app on our phones to drown out the parking lot noise.
Before we dyed the eggs we colored them with crayons while they were still hot, they turned out so pretty & vibrant, and for the first year no one had dyed fingers on Easter morning.

Glad they had so much Easter fun. I may just try that crayon egg thing just for kicks.
