A couple of weeks ago, we partook in the annual daddy/kid(s) camp out. This year was the biggest year ever with approximately 24 dads and over 45 kids. We basically took over the state park like an army and in the process, possibly ruined the camping experience for our adjacent neighbors. You can see in one of the pictures where the road was practically impassable b/c of the sheer number of dads and kids playing ball in the street. All in all it was a very good trip especially by Amber's standards (no fights, no injuries, no lost kids, no potty accidents). The kids look forward to this weekend every year and had so much fun swimming, hiking, rock climbing and playing with friends. They also enjoyed the food: hot dogs, smores, unlimited lemonade, cookies and donuts (not exactly what mom would prepare). We are so thankful for friends who love to camp, for daddy's that care enough to invest their time in their kids and their friends and for mommy's that trust us enough to let us go.

Tom I think you forgot Maelyn's hair smoking? I think that may have been the first thing she told her mother upon returning home :)
