Livestock Show

Look at our cowgirls! We decided to take the girls to the Livestock Show on Friday night, & we were so excited that the O'Rears could join us. We knew that these little animal loving girls would have a ball together.
We found out at the last minute that rodeo tix are sold seperately & were a lot more than we were willing to spend, so we took the girls to a horse show called "Mustang Magic". Wild mustangs are trained for 100 days, then compete in tasks to see how well they had been broken/gentled. It was really interesting, but a little slow for this age group. Mostly, the girls had their hearts set on the midway that they had seen coming in.

We told the girls they could choose one ride or game. Anna, of course, wanted to win a stuffed animal... and $10 later, we had this wonderful taco bell dog. :) She named her Lady & was thrilled. Mae chose the merry-go-round, & the O'Rear girls did a huge slide. We also got to tour the children's FFA barn & pet a huge steer. The kids had so much fun, and we loved spending the evening with such sweet friends.
