Memorial Day

A few pics from a fun Memorial Day... we spent a very hot day outside, but the company was so great we didn't mind. :)

We started the day outside at home - Tom put together a glider that we got as our combined mother's & father's day gifts. Then we joined all our neighbors for an all day block party. We blocked the street off, rented some bounces, and let the kids play all day while we grazed on awesome food! We are so blessed that we really love all of our neighbors - there are a couple dozen babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary aged kids for our girls to grow up with. God really answered our prayers about being surrounded by great families in our new home!

After a quick nap, we headed to care group... another great time of visiting with families from church. We ate more great food & watched some really good sports do the hoola & limbo contests. Again, we are so thankful to God for putting so many amazing families in our lives!

We moved the glider down the street to the block party - it was a great place to rock the babies & for the kids to swing each other.
The luau was so much fun - we so appreciate these great new friends at our church who opened their yard & home to us.
Who knew that Daddy, Mae & Anna were so talented at the limbo? Click to enlarge the picture of Mae - she really has the form down pat. :)

Boy, what a smile those rosy cheeked girls gave this Grammy. Loved seeing them having such a great time outdoors. Maelyn put everyone to shame with her limbo style. Go, Maelyn. Can't wait to see you guys this weekend in Tyler.
