Dinosaur Valley State Park

On Sunday this past weekend my mom left for a few days of camping with my dad. After church we threw some baby gear in the van (it was a mad dash so we could leave as soon as Judah woke up from his nap) & followed her down for a day trip to join them. Thankfully, our little car-seat-hater did amazing! I sat in the back seat to feed him a bottle & entertain him & he didn't cry the whole way there & back (1 1/2 hours each way). Praise God! This is a huge answer to prayer because in the past couple of months a 5 minute trip with him is torture - he screams like someone is pinching him! After a pleasant trip down the girls enjoyed time with Dingdaddy, hikes, tree climbing, river exploring, scooter riding, and seashell collecting. Judah's favorite thing was staring up at the trees... we don't have many in our area so he was fascinated. It was much colder than forcasted, so we weren't really dressed for the weather but other than that it was a great day trip. Hoping for lots more camping in the days ahead.

Judah in his sun hat - a few sizes too big - but we needed to keep his little bald head warm

staring up at the trees - I'm in love with his blue eyes!
chatting with Daddy... he's wearing an extra pair of Anna's socks on his hands to keep those slobbery hands warm!

I don't think I ever blogged about Anna's gappy smile - she finally lost her two front teeth - on the same day at school. So funny to drop her off looking one way and pick her up looking totally different!
