Judah at 10 months

Cutie patootie boy! I love how he couldn't resist putting that pom pom from the monkeys head in his mouth - very typical Judah! He puts everything in his mouth for a taste, studies it, then bangs it against his knuckles on his left hand. We say that he's in training to be a boxer or something - those knuckles are getting tough! Every month I feel so torn about this guy - I adore watching all his new "tricks" each day, but so want him to stay little! He is such a joy to us (99% of the time!) & all of us enjoy his baby jabber, rolly polly body, feathery sticking up hair, open mouthed kisses, the way he pats us on the back when we pick him up, and his toothy smile. We don't want him to get bigger, but every day he's less of a baby. Sweet but sad.

eating: more every day. He's very into table food & often eats just as much or more than his sisters at dinner time. He doesn't really want baby food, but will still let me feed him yogurt mixed with baby fruit & oatmeal in the mornings. Otherwise, he likes the real thing - especially meat. Still nursing 4 times a day & once more around 10 before I go to bed.

sleeping: great - from 7:30 or 8pm until 6:30 or 7am. Two naps. He goes to sleep easily almost all the time & lets me snuggle with him for a while - loving that. He's more flexible now & can skip one of his naps if we have to be out, will sometimes nap in the church nursery on Wednesdays, and even fell asleep in the stroller recently (he has been a bed only boy!)

likes: food, being outside, yelling/squeeling back & forth with his sisters, being tickled, baths, standing up & cruising on everything, messing with Bitsie

dislikes: having his diaper changed, being held or trapped when he wants to be down exploring (ei, eating dog food, checking out the toilet, crawling on gross floors in public)
