Small Group Retreat
We love our small group! Even though it's not so small any more (20 families went on the retreat), they are our support, our friends, our accountibility partners, & those that love us through every up & down. For the second fall in a row, we got to spend 24 hours hanging out with these families at a retreat center... our theme was "God Rocks, I'm with the Band" & the planners did an amazing job! Our girls had looked forward to the retreat for weeks - you can see how excited they were to finally be there.
The first activity was finding & decorating a family rock to play "I have never" as a group. Anna's idea was to decorate the rock in Christmas colors & put a J on it in honor of our Christmas baby. Sweet sisters.

Hanging out on the hayride (above: Mae & Noah), followed by smores. It was a chilly night - we got to break out the winter coats!

Breakfast with friends... love these silly gooses!

On Sunday morning we had family worship time. Our focus was on the "Greater Things" campain that our church was celebrating that weekend. For months, our church had taught, prayed, & fasted about a huge giving opportunity to further the vision that God had laid on the hearts of leaders & members. It was a great chance for our family to stretch ourselves & gave us lots of opportunities to teach our girls about generous giving. During the worship time, the kids got to give their Greater Things milk jugs full of their contributions. Sunday night we got to celebrate with our church when we learned that to God's glory, almost 10 million dollars had been given towards the vision!
