Horse Camp & Swimming

Last week Anna spent all week attending horse camp every day. It was the perfect fit for our little rider - she says her favorite parts were riding Sancy & swimming in the pool everyday, catching a fish, eating ice cream, & feeding the horses treats. She said that when the horses chew up their apples it looks like they have a mouthful of applesauce. We were so glad that she got to experience a horse camp in a Christian environment - what a blessing!

Anna with her instructor, Kristen -- we just love her!
Doesn't she look old? She must be growing because those jeans are a tad short!
At camp she started to get a little braver in the water. She would jump to an adult from the side without a floatie & "doggie paddle" in the shallow end, bouncing off the bottom. This hasn't gone so well in our neighborhood pool where we have a deeper shallow end, but at least it's a start! She'll also put her mouth & nose under - now if we could only convince her to let her eyes get wet we'd be golden!

Her favorite craft - the picture is w/ "her" horse Sancy, and the brand of the ranch
an "all about horses" book that they made

Our other little one got lots of swim time while Anna was at camp all week. Because of travel & sickness, she hadn't been in the pool since her lessons. After just a day she picked up where she left off & has been swimming a good 3 or 4 feet to us & back to the step with her face in. She'll do this over & over until we make her put floaties on to rest. We are so proud of our little fishie!
And she is so proud of herself!
