Tom ran the White Rock Half Marathon on Sunday... we are so proud of you Daddy!
Tom, Charley, & Tom's Dad all ran together & did so well. They ran with 17,000 people - it was an amazing event to watch! Tom's feet are covered with blisters & I think he may loose at least 4 toenails (lovely huh?), but he is already talking strategy for next year. They look awesome for having just run thirteen miles in the wind! We got to meet up with Charley's family & cheer on the boys at miles 6, 9, & the finish. The girls loved chanting, "run Daddy run!" & are still wearing the medals that they think the boys got for "winning" the race.
The girls enjoyed having Nana & Pappy here all weekend. Pappy was even a good sport after the race - he played with the girls all afternoon in the playroom & they even babysat while Tom & I went out to dinner that night. The girls are loving their big wheels that Nana & Pappy got them for Christmas (Mae is even thanking Jesus for it in her prayers). Thanks for coming Nana & Pappy!

So Proud of Tom! That was terrible wind they ran in--maybe part of his next yr's strategy can include perfect running weather! :)

Way to go Tom! And that's neat that his Dad did it as well. Wow, 4 toe nails...I guess I can't complain about my 1.
