So, so many sweet pictures so I'll have to do a few posts on our camping trip. We are so thankful that we didn't cancel due to the rainy forcast - we had a great trip. There were lots of snags - but still so fun! We picked up the camper Friday morning, and unfortunately Tom hit a concrete barrier as he pulled out of our tight storage spot. It cracked the front of the camper, but it was only cosmetic damage. We picked the girls up from school early & got on the road before lunch time. It was a LONG trip down. We discovered that the plug to the DVD player had a bad fuse & I had brought nothing else to entertain the kids. After about 3 hours & 4 stops we found a fuse! We made it to South Llano State Park around 4 & met up with Grammy, Dingdaddy, Nana, Pappy, & Pris' 3 kids, Josh, Jeni, & their 3 girls, and Mike, Krystal & her neice & nephew - Aydan & Ary. 10 grownups & 11 kids! As soon as we pulled in a got our spot Tom tried to pop up the camper. He didn't realize that one of the latches was still down & ended up braking a cable which supports one of the lifting arms. Without it you can't keep the roof up. Thankfully Josh had a 2x4 in his popup cut to the right length & we were able to rig it. Talk about a rough start! After that the evening went well. Great weather, bike riding, yummy dinner, & cupcakes for the spring birthdays. Early to bed!
