Christmas 2012

These pictures are crazy out of order... but my love/hate relationship with blogger is really being tested this week!  I'll put them back in order when I print the book... at least they are getting on the blog at all!

Christmas was so great... with just a few crazy moments mixed in.  My parents, Josh, Jeni & their girls all got to come Christmas Eve & enjoy an awesome tamale dinner (thanks Unterbrinks!).  Dad read the traditional "Twas the Night Before Christmas" book & the kids actually went to bed really well.  On Christmas morning there was the fun pandemonium of opening gifts - so great with 6 littles to enjoy it all with.  Then we tried to cook a big breakfast... amazingly our oven & fridge chose this time of all times to go out.  Two dozen cinnamon rolls & 3 dozen sausage rolls were burnt to a crisp on the bottom & raw on the top.  We never figured out what went wrong with the oven, but we ended up scraping off the black & cooking batches in our tiny toaster oven!  The fridge stopped cooling so the rest of the day Tom & my brother tinkered with it & we made trips out to coolers in the garage.  We just had to add a little excitement to the day!

On a better note - it SNOWED!  The kids didn't get to play much since we had already packed all of their ski gear, but it was so beautiful to hang out with family all day & look out at an almost white lawn.  A sweet gift.  Christmas dinner went to plan B since we had no appliances - yummy tamale leftovers.  Great the second time too.  Then there was last minute packing for the big ski trip - more posts to come!

The kids opened their Christmas pj's from Grammy & Dingdaddy... Judah got to open a birthday present instead.  He's very attached to this jersey...  I have to hide it to wash it!

Tom was thrilled about the appliance revolt!
