Easter

Above... some laps on their scooters to get ready for the big hunt. Every year our street has a huge egg hunt in everyone's front yards. Lots of fun with friends, lots & lots of eggs & candy, and lots of yummy food at the block grill out party afterwards. Love it!

Below... Judah got a pep talk from Daddy before the babies hunted eggs. He didn't listen too well I guess. He found two eggs that looked like soccer balls & he was done hunting. If we put them into his bucket to encourage him to pick up others he just got those two out. The boy is obsessed with balls. Ava was all about hunting until she realized that the eggs had treats inside, then she was all about eating! She'd open an egg, eat whatever was inside, then toss the empty egg down to grab another. They are hilarious. After the hunt we put them in the wagon to watch the big kids hunt & they had a free for all - I think they emptied almost every egg in Ava's bucket.

Their morning loot... all 5 kids at the house this year got fun baskets, and Anna & Mae also got their jelly beans. This year for the 3 weeks leading up to Easter we worked on being kind to our sister (it needed attention!). They got a few beans each time they did something kind for their sister or played without arguing. Their goal was a full glass by Easter morning. They almost made it - and the glasses got filled to the top with white jelly beans. We talked about how the white ones represented Jesus & His grace - to always fill us up when we fall short & cover our mistakes. Hopefully some of the peace & kindness shown over these past few weeks will stick!
No luck getting all three kids to look at the camera, or even Judah to look by himself, but I got a cute shot of his handsome Daddy. :)It was a blessing to share Easter this year with our house guests - the Sierras family. Beautiful bunch!
