Six sounds so old. She has been counting down the days until this birthday since before Christmas, so I should have had plenty of time to prepare for it, but it still always surprises me that my little bald baby has another year behind her. Her birthday fell on Saturday during spring break, so we had gotten to do several fun things to honor her - a family day at the children's museum & a date with Daddy to see The Lorax. She was ready to open her gifts as soon as she woke up... from the family she got walkie talkies, goggles, a kick board, a sleeping bag, and some lego friends. She also got money in the mail from Nana & Pappy, a new dress from Nanny, lego friends from cousin Madison, and a swim suit & lego friends from Grammy & Dingdaddy. In the picture above she's blowing out candles on a fiber one brownie - goofy! She is not a cake girl, so she had asked for ice cream & toppings for her birthday dessert. We forgot to put candles in until it was too melty so this was the best we could do!
We love you to pieces sweet Mae. You are the joy, giggles, laughter, & light heartedness that hold our family together. You are easy going, happy go lucky, silly, quick to obey (most of the time!), & eager to help. You love to draw & color, play outside, kiss your bubby, do whatever Anna is doing, hold Bitsie, dance, and be with friends. You are our sunshine and we love you!
