May 1st and 2nd we went camping at Mineral Wells State Park with some of our friends and their kids. 14 dads and 24 children to be exact. As you can imagine with those kind of numbers, to everyone else in the park we resembled a traveling circus. We went on hikes, went fishing, climbed trees, made smores and generally did all the things that the moms don't ever let the kids do (riding in the back of a bed of a pickup, eating all the snacks they want, squatting in the woods). The girls always look forward to this event and were thrilled to get to spend this time with Daddy while mom was visiting a friend for the weekend. We look forward to going back again next year and are thankful for the friends that helped to make this such a memorable weekend. (guest blogged by Dad)
