Colorado Mining, Goat Farming, & Duck Racing

Colorado fun... pretty much everything is awesome when we you get be outside in 70 degree weather, with blue skies, & mountain views.  On this day the five of us drove a bit east of Buena Vista to tour the Molly Kathleen mine.  It was really educational in the best way - hands on, interesting, & a colorful tour guide.  We all loved it.

Right down the road from our cabin was a goat dairy.  We decided to take the "milking tour" one afternoon.  The kids got to milk the goats & learn about how goat cheese is made.  Random, but actually everyone had a blast!

Quick stop at a historical site... we got a private tour from a state park worker of this homestead from the 1800s...

Cabin fun... really hanging out at the cabin was one of our favorite parts of the week.  There was plenty of space, a gorgeous piece of property with a clear stream, private cabin that the kids used as a play house, zip line, picnic area, & hot tub.  The littles raced rubber ducks down the stream for hours, had lots of dance parties in the media room, & Judah, Leah, & Paige entertained themselves so well with matchbox cars & squinkies.  Awesome trip.  Awesome memories!
