It is so impossible to put this kind of trip into words & pictures - but I'm going to try to record the highlights for us to look back on. First, we are so very thankful that God allowed us to go again this year... since we knew what to pack & what to expect we were able to jump right in & soak up the whole experience. Also adding to the greatness of the week was my Dad being able to go with us this year. It was so special to share the experience with him & to see him be able to use so many of the gifts that God has given him to serve the team & people there.
Our first day was a long one. We left for the airport around 4am for a flight to Houston, another flight to Tegus, & a bus ride to Campemento. The girls were wide awake all day & thrilled to be in one of their favorite places again.

Finally in Campamento - Dad getting to meet the kids who hang around outside of the daycare waiting for us to come out & play (or take them for ice cream, or fries, or to the park) These littles just take off with us all over town - no one has to check in with mamas - they are on their own
Our fancy accommodations - cots at the daycare. We were blessed with electricity almost all week for the fans. Our shower reeked of sewer gas, but overall we loved the convenience of being right at the daycare all week instead of staying across town like last year.
Mae & Anna fell in love with Megan - the daycare cook's daughter. She was hanging out by the kitchen all week so they had a constant little chickie to play with.
This was taken in the park on our walk to town. The girls had raised money (along with cousin Madison) by painting watercolors & selling them to neighbors. We walked to the store to pick out something fun & chose a small basketball goal for the daycare kids. They LOVED it!
This was the boys first day of manual labor - they killed it all week! They made cement "volcanos" to hand mix concrete to floor houses. This gives the families a standard of cleanliness & pride that they've never had before. Life changing.
