January

The month has come to an end & I still can't believe that it's 2012. In this phase of life some days crawl by, but time seems to be flying. We had a busy January, with a few big changes at our house. The day after Christmas my cousin Angela, her husband Ray, their son Ryland (Razor), and baby Ava, along with their two big dogs & one tiny hamster, moved into our house. Ray got a job in the area, so until they sell their current home & decide where to settle they will be staying with us. A month has come & gone, and by God's grace it is going so well. The babies are only 10 days apart, so we are getting a small taste of life with twins. ;)

I was not a good picture taker this past month, partly due to a second round of the stomach bug (only poor Judah was a repeat customer) & a bad cold that we've passed around, but did find a few cute ones... below is our trip to the stock show when the kids were out of school for MLK day. It was really crowded, but the kids had fun. They brought their own money for one ride - of course, my girls picked the pony & Razor did the huge slide. They also loved the petting zoo.

Every January the girls look forward to Tom's turn as Watch Dog Dad at school. They were counting down the days until Friday (especially Mae since this is her first time to enjoy Daddy at school), and were so happy that Tom got to spend time in both of their classrooms & eat lunch with both of them.

This month Anna also practiced after school for the second year of basketball club - a chance to learn a dribbling routine performed at a high school basketball game. I didn't get good pictures of the routine, but there is a short clip at the end of the post. Anna did really well & improved her skills a lot from last year.

She also had some solo lines in a musical put on by the third grade music classes. She did so well speaking in front of a very large crowd of parents. Each class also played the zylophone during one of the songs as well, & I got a short clip of her rocking her zylophone. :)
