December Craziness

Whew - we crammed a lot of fun & craziness into the month of December! This is a catch up blog of events last month... first up, Bugs Christmas. For the first time our girls got to participate in the church's childrens' musical. Many weeks of practice went into learning the songs & dances, but when the big day came they were ready! Their favorite part by far was dressing up as a butterfly & ladybug, but they also loved the time with friends - new & old. Anna made a little girlfriend named Sara that she has not stopped talking about since. We were proud of how well they did during the musical & totally entertained by how expressive they were.

Next up - the girls both had holiday parties at school right before the break, which happened to fall on Judah's first birthday. You know you are a third child when most of your birthday is spent at your siblings school functions. Judah had fun & so did the girls. Tom took most of the day off, so after their parties we took him for ice cream, just the 3 of us. It was a sweet time to just enjoy him all by himself! That night we had ice cream cake as a family & he opened a small gift from us (yes, you do get jipped when your birthday is 10 days before Christmas). Thankfully, he was very impressed with more of his favorite thing - nerf balls.

Last, a neighbor invited all of us over for cookies & a surprise visit from Santa. The girls asked him for certificates to get their ears pierced, and Judah was fine about sitting in his lap but not too impressed. Santa & his assistant told the polar express story & all the kids got to open a gift from Santa's pack. A fun night!
