the GOOD: time with family... we got to spend time with Grammy, Dingdaddy, Aunt Veda, Mamaw, Papaw, Uncle Mike, Aunt Krystal, Aunt Jeni, & cousins Madison, Leah & Paige
the BAD: Nanny's house was broken into the week before - she didn't feel comfortable traveling, Uncle Josh had to work, Angela & Ray's family got the stomach bug & didn't want to share their cooties - we missed everyone who couldn't come! And, I was a horrible picture taker with all of the choas & didn't get any family pics of those who did make it - bummer
the GOOD: sweet Judah got to celebrate his first birthday! Grammy got the cutest Aggie smash cake & made a precious picture tree to decorate (bday post to come)
the BAD: just 2 hours after arriving, Judah woke up with a 103 degree tempurature - his first ever temp in his whole year of life! After taking him to urgent care that evening we learned that he had his first ear infection. He did rally on Thurs but was worse Fri, so we made a second trip to urgent care. No fun! He was a pill a lot, wanted only Daddy to put him to bed, & was miserable at times.
the GOOD: we had so much fun visiting campus for the march in before the last A&M vs tu matchup. The kids got to pet & take a picture with Reveille. Judah wore his yell leader overalls & was in a great mood for a baby with an ear infection.
the BAD: we lost the game. Enough said.
the GOOD: great food, accomplished some black friday shopping, a really helpful husband who patted our hurting baby to sleep for every nap, a nearby urgent care & cheap antibiotics, a great outcome for a neighbor who had a seizure right after we arrived on Wed - he was fine after a trip in an ambulance to get checked out - praise God!
At least there was more good than bad! An eventful trip for sure.
the kids were entertained for hours by Madison's tattoo kit
