Judah at 9 months

Judah, Judah, Judah! So busy, so much fun, so sweet, such a stinker. How we love this boy! This was a busy month of learning new tricks. He went from army crawling to real crawling a few weeks ago. He also started pulling up on everything, resulting in many bruises to the head already. He can cruise also - so he is never in one spot for long. He says "mamamama" when he's fussy while crawling around after me & says "ba" for everything else. The girls claim he says "bubba" copying their name for him, but I think that may be wishful thinking. He is getting all four top teeth at once, the middle two just popped through earlier this week. Today at his checkup he weighed 23 pounds (85%) & was 30 inches long (off the chart). Everyone says "he's half your size!" when I carry him around & now he officially is - I'm about 60 inches tall - no wonder my back & arms are tired by the end of the day!

eating: all the time! He still loves to nurse, and is a huge fan of any food you let him have. He eats baby food - some jarred some pureed - as well as lots of table foods. He will fuss if he sees you eating anything & will even put his open mouth on yours while you are chewing hoping you might pass him some like a bird (we don't obviously)! Gross but really funny!

sleeping: about the same - one longer (1 1/2 hours) & one shorter nap a day. Bedtime around 7:30, nursing early in the morning, then back to sleep until about 7am.

likes: seeing his sisters - they miss him now that school started, chasing Bitsie around, bath time, being surprised, standing up at his activity tables or the couches, morning walks outside, making loud grunty boy noises (Tom can even get him to growl & make fists like he's showing his muscles), sharing my fruit & veggie smoothies every morning

dislikes: being left alone while I try to cook dinner, bonking his head

This boy loves him some grub! Here he is double fisting mashed potatoes, carrots, & tenderloin, and below - spaghetti with meat sauce & cauliflower

And what do you get when you love to eat so much? A cutie patootie body like this! We love every squishable inch! We actually measured Maelyn's thighs the other day (age 5) & his were bigger. :)
