I couldn't love this first grader any more! Right after spring break, Anna got to go on her very first field trip ever. Her kinder one had been canceled because of the swine flu, so this was a long anticipated event. She looked forward to it for months, but also had concerns about riding the bus without getting motion sickness & reminded me often about what she was supposed to wear (a blue shirt & jeans), pack for lunch (a throw away sack), and lots of other details. This girl will be a detailed list maker like her momma. On zoo day, God blessed us with perfect outdoor weather & an uncrowded zoo. We got to walk around with 4 of her closest friends and couldn't have asked for a better field trip.

Madilyn, Aliyah, Kylee, Avery, & Anna

Later that day, Anna came home with the class mascot, Piglet. She had been so excited each Friday to see when it would be her turn to babysit her for the weekend. She took her on a bike ride, to church twice, & dressed her up in every Build a Bear outfit she owns. A classmate, Madilyn, came over for dinner Friday with her parents & stayed the night, so Piglet got to witness lots of squeeling & giggling. At the end of the weekend we printed out pictures of Piglet's adventure & posted them in a class journal where Anna wrote three pages about every detail. We'll miss you Piglet!
