Halloween part 1

Our Nikon stopped working just after we went out on Halloween night - bummer! Thankfully, our sweet neighbors who are professional photographers helped us find out that it was a recall issue so it is being shipped to Nikon & fixed for free. Until it returns, here are some pics from the girls' dress up days at school...

Anna decided at Disney that she wanted to be Belle so that she could wear her fake hair again - she was more than excited about it! On Friday morning she came down completely dressed in her costume & woke me saying, "Good morning, Mommy. Did you sleep well? Are you ready to put my fake hair on?" She has never asked to be a princess before, and it was a little sad thinking that this might be her last year to want to be something "little girl-y". It was sweet to watch her beam - she obviously felt beautiful!

Mae's request for Halloween was to have pink hair. No costume idea, just pink hair. Anna came up with "Pinkalicious" from the book that we own that the girls have read over & over. In it, a little girl eats so many pink cupcakes that she turns pink from head to toe. That made Mae's costume easy, I just picked up a cheap dress up at the consignment sale & added pink accessories from home (our total cost for both girls costumes this year was $13 - yeah!). As I was reading the directions on this preschool morning before spraying her hair I saw, "test to see if hair dye comes out of very light color hair on a small area, may not wash out". Too late! Thank goodness the pink washed out easily or Mae would have been sporting the little old lady pink tinted look!

They are precious! Love their fancy hair :)

What model was your Nikon? We have the D40 and it has occasionally been acting up. I was just wondering what the details were in the recall.

Your girls are just too cute. Mae is getting SO big! Tell her Allie says "hi"! :)
