The rain that cancelled our camping trip in mid October had a silver lining... a fun, quick trip to visit my parents in College Station. We didn't have tickets to the game, but still thought it would be fun to take the kids to campus for kids yell & to see march in. Honestly, they weren't too into it for whatever reason on this trip & were ready to head back to Grammy & Dingdaddy's house instead of watching the corp (two percenters!). Tom was lucky enough to run into friends from church on campus who sold him their extra ticket... too bad that the Aggies stunk it up.
The next day we tried out a safari park in Franklin. Hilarious! The kids reactions when the random buffalo, goats, cows, camels, etc would stick their heads into our vehicles for cow feed was too funny! They could have stayed all day in the "baby house" where tiny monkeys in diapers were being socialized as pets. A great little field trip.
