What to do when two of the sweetest three year old's have close birthdays in the crazy month of December? Throw a Dora & Diego Feliz Navidad Christmas/Birthday themed fiesta of course! The original party scheduled at our church main campus fell during the ice storm so we went with plan B - a smaller, simpler party during the week at the playscape at our campus. It was super easy & these two cuties were just thrilled to be having a party with friends. We swapped our lunch menu for brunch, the cake for star donuts, and still did lots of playing & a follow Dora's map scavenger hunt. A handful of sweet preschool friends could make it - and their beloved Ms. Lisa & Ms. Mona (who have loved them at church & preschool since infancy) came as well.
These two stinkers have a funny relationship. They are BFF's but squabble like brother & sister... we weren't sure how sharing a party would go over with these two unpredictable preschoolers - but they shared their special day without a hitch.
Some updates on our big three year old...
*well child check stats - height 40 inches (93%), weight 34 lbs (71%)
*his current loves - Cars characters, Planes characters, switch & go dinos, Jake & the Neverland pirates, being included in anything the big girls are doing, wrestling with daddy, snuggling with mommy, playdates with any friends, his froggie blanket, playing hide & seek, being outside
*dislikes - playing by himself, pants & long sleeve shirts, eating most things I cook for dinner, wearing a diaper at bedtime
*favorite foods - donuts, pizza, yogurt smoothies, juice, berries, dried fruit, applesauce squeezies
*routine - up hollaring "mommy!" between 6 & 7 am, mommy's shadow all day long, talking, talking, talking, asking all day when "sistahs" will be home, napping an hour or two in the afternoon, thrilled when daddy comes home from work & becomes his shadow until bedtime, bedtime around 8 but talks & plays in his bed for an hour or so almost every night

when you grow up - "I am going to be a daddy dino. And there is going to be a mommy dino and a baby dino. The baby dino is going to say 'dada!' and I'm going to say 'oh! You so cute!'".
Judah - Happy Birthday my favorite 3 year old boy! Every day I am amazed at how big you are getting. Many days you remind me, "I'm not Judah today. I'm Big Boy." You have a huge vocabulary & understand so much of what is going on around you, but also love to pretend to be a baby so that I will rock you & carry you around (although you are a third of my weight & over half of my height). Your toddler voice is so precious - I get to hear it ALL DAY LONG unless you are engrossed in a tv show. You are becoming more "boyish" all the time - fascinated by fast cars, potty talk, super heroes & wrestling. At the same time, you are very tender hearted, gentle, & affectionate. You bring so much laughter to our house - often it gets you out of trouble because your smile & giggle is very contagious. We love you Bub, Brother, Bubbie, Judah Pig, Buddy, Big Boy!
