Another school year down - how can they be going into first & fourth grades? We were blessed with a wonderful school year & we got to celebrate both girls that last week. Anna had an awards ceremony on Tuesday & we are so proud of how she did this year. We were wrangling Judah at her ceremony so I don't have good pictures. Thankfully Angela kept Judah for Mae's kinder graduation on Thursday so we got to actually sit & watch the cute Hawaiian program. Mae had such a great year as well - we couldn't have asked for a better start to her school years. The kinder classes performed two songs after receiving their awards - nothing sweeter than a bunch of kindergartners singing about growing up.
We have been thrilled with the girls school experience so far - such amazing teachers, a supportive atmosphere, involved parents - we thank God for placing us here. But most of all, it blesses us to know that our girls are getting to practice little baby steps of being bold in their faith. Anna was just telling me today that during the last week of school she got the chance to talk to a friend in class from India about Jesus. She said that this friend started a conversation about Indian gods so Anna began to tell her (lovingly) about God & His Son. She said that the little girl had never heard that Jesus died for her on a cross (apparently it was a pretty deep discussion). I told Anna that I was so proud of how she spoke the truth in love & planted a small seed that God can water in this girls heart. Great end to a great year!
